Origins was a blast! Thank you to everyone who commissioned me and donated me, or otherwise helped me to get there! I absolutely adored it, and I hope that everyone who managed to go had as much fun as I did, and those that couldn't go had as much fun anyways. I'm starting to branch out a lot, and I've been getting a lot of work done! I only regret that I couldn't take my sketchbooks with me (they were too big to fit anywhere and be comfortable), but now all I have to do is get some new ink pens, and I should be fine! Another goal: obtaining Prismacolor colored pencils so that I can actually begin to do commissions with colored pencils as well. Markers will wait, even if I do get a good set, because I'll need to practice with them a LOT before I can trust myself to sell my markered work. As a general rule of thumb, I refuse to sell off work that I myself am not happy with, unless you're standing right there and orgasming over it >>; Then I'm okay with it, because I get to see how pleased my customer(s) is/are. ^____^ REMEMBER! If you've asked me about commissions in person or via the phone, I have the attention span of a goldfish! Please email me, remind me over IM, or go through this site to make sure you're commission is recorded! Thank you! And finally, I should have some scanned commissions up in the Gallery for viewing by all shortly! |

Wow! I'm excited that so many people have expressed interest in my work! I still need to get some new ink pens, given that mine are apparently dead at the moment (not to fret- I still have some ink left to work with until I can get a new pen set, or if you'd prefer to have inked commissions changed to penciled ones, there will be no additional cost), but I should be able to get some soon. Also! Check out the Gallery! The commission of Michael Connoly for John Dolehide is up for viewing! |

Firstly, Happy 1st Annual 29th Birthday to Josh Wasta! =D *confetti and glitter and cake and stuff* ^___^ Secondly, there are a few important announcements. I'm debating whether to do commission work as a sort of living, and if that ends up being the case, prices are going to change a little bit. Mostly, it'll just be an hourly fee tacked on to the existing prices, which would then be the flat rate for the materials used. This wont go into effect for a bit, yet, as I'm still working out how I want to go about it and whether or not I will, but those of you who have pre-existing commissions when this happens will be charged with the same rate you signed up for, as slapping people with extra fees halfway through is NOT how I roll. I hate when people do it to me, so I wont do it to anyone else myself. However, if you would like to go by the new rates, that's entirely up to you, and you're more than welcome to send me an email, or meet with me in person if you're able to, and we can discuss things further. Nextly, school will be starting up soon! Commissions will probably become a little bit slower in the making when this happens, which I apologize for in advance. If you need a commission by a certain date, let me know! While this will not bump you up on the list, it will be noted, and taken care of as quickly as possible once I am able to get to your commission. |

Not a whole lot in the way of news this week. However, I've been posting my ground rules for modeling on LJ and Facebook, so I may as well post them on my own website, too. There's a new section devoted to these rules, so that they'll always be on the site for those who want to see them whenever they please. I am posting them on their own page because I am VERY serious about them. If I ask you to model for me, and you cannot abide by these rules, I will send you home, no questions asked. In the future, I will add my Blacklist to this page. This Blacklist is the list of models I will not use again, with reasons as to why not, and my encouragement to other artists to do the same. Also! I will be adding hourly prices to my list once the school year begins again. I have a lot of classes, and so every hour of working on commissions counts. If the prices of materials themselves change, I will announce it ahead of time, and then again once it is in effect. If there are any questions regarding this or anything else, please visit my Contact page. Thanks! |

It's official- Once the school year begins, prices will be changing! The way that things will probably work is that the base price for supplies as listed on this site will be expected as payment beforehand (because I really do need supplies half the time), and the hourly wage will be expected after. So, in some cases, it may literally be a "half now, half later," sort of deal. The hourly wage will be set at $5 an hour, as every hour I'm not studying will need to be well worth it. Those who have commissions ordered before this change over, your prices will remain the same. And with that, feel free to check out the Gallery for examples, order a commission (or three), or contact me with any questions, comments, or concerns! =D |
