So you want to be a model?
All you have to do is follow a few simple rules:1. ALWAYS be courteous and polite. This means no bad-mouthing the other models, my decisions, or my projects. If you can't do that, then I have no need for you. In the professional modeling world, this is a BIG must. Employers now and in the future will not hire you or use your sets if you cannot be courteous and polite. Remember- they’re the people who allow you to get paid!
2. ALWAYS be professional. This means allowing the ARTIST to lead, and respecting the artist's viewpoint on things. You are there for a job, and if you're going to screw around and waste time, then go home. Again, remember that certain limitations, such as not being able to physically hold a pose for a certain period of time, is entirely alright. Speak up, but don’t complain when you do.
3A. ALWAYS be confident. Modeling for me isn't about what you can't do or what you aren't, but what you CAN do and what you ARE. If I'm using you as a model, then it's because you have something that other people don't, and that makes you PERFECT as you are for that project.
3B. On the flip side of that, remember that NO ONE is better than anyone else, and as such you should NEVER act as if you are superior to everyone else involved. This is rude and uncalled for, and I will not allow it to happen with MY art. If you really are so superior to everyone else, then go get into the actual modeling industry.
4. NEVER disrespect ANY of the individuals involved in the project, or involved in past projects. This falls under the first rule, but it still needs to be said. If you cannot be respectful towards everyone, regardless of if you like them, then you're just wasting both our time. To disrespect anyone involved in any of the projects not only is rude, but also entirely unprofessional.
If you cannot adhere to these simple standards, then I will not use you, regardless of how well your sets turned out.
Remember! I am very serious about my art, and as such I am very serious about who I choose to model for me. To break any of these rules, I view as a sleight against me, my art, my models, and everything that Art is and represents. So...DON'T DO IT!Typically, I am more willing to accept models who volunteer, due to the fact that currently, this is not a full-time job for me, and my prices are not as easily suited for wages. However, if the project is large enough, pay will be negotiated regardless, depending on the size of the project and the demand for new supplies, because I know I would not be able to easily fulfill the order without the help of my models. =D
